Presentation on Nepali Language Processing And Spellchecking  System – An Overview of Nepali Context

"The Nepali Language Processing and Spellchecking System – An Overview of Nepali Context" was organized on September 15th, 2004, collectively by Godavari Alumni Association, Steering Committee for Nepali Language in IT and High Level Commission for IT. The main purpose of this program was to give a short preview on the process on the development of spellcheckers, which was given by Dr Madhav Pokharel, Linguist-TU, Mr Laxmi Prasad Khatiwada, Linguist-MPP, Mr Birendra Keshari, Teaching Asst- KU and Mr Allen Tuladhar, CEO- Unlimited Numedia and Member Secretary- Steering Committee for Nepali Language in IT.

The technical session was divided into four parts consisting of:

1. Making of Nepali Brihat Sabdakosh by Dr Madhav Pokharel
2. Presentation on Logics of Spell Checkers in General by Mr Birendra Keshari
3. Presentation on Issues in Nepali Spell Checker by Mr Laxmi Prasad Khatiwada
4. Application of the Spell Checking from Users Perspectives by Mr Allen Tuladhar
